Farm equipment is incredibly durable, and designed to take on any heavy-duty job you throw at it. However, even the toughest of machinery has its weak spots, and—in order to keep your farm equipment from falling apart, breaking down, or being damaged— you’ll need to maintain your equipment carefully to keep it in top shape. Routine Cleaning

To prevent long-term damage and ensure your farm equipment has a long and happy service life, it’s incredibly important that you clean your machinery on a regular basis. While a little soap and a quick rinse with the hose will suffice most of the time, every 6 months or so we recommend breaking out the scrub brush and giving your model a proper deep cleaning to stop the appearance of rust or corrosion from damaging our farm equipment.

Lube Moving Parts

To keep dirt and grime from slowing down your equipment’s moving parts and keep your machinery from taking on excess wear and tear, be sure to lube your farm equipment’s moving parts regularly. We recommend doing this after your ag. equipment has been cleaned. Be sure to give extra attention to your machinery’s bearings, belts, implements, and hitch if one is present.

Sharpen Blades

A dull blade can result in a lot of maintenance problems. Not only will it reduce the efficiency of your farm equipment but it’s likely to put added wear on your machinery. Dull blades are also more likely to be damaged or broken, leading to a potential injury. To avoid this, be sure to inspect and sharpen any blades on your farming equipment at least once every 6 months.
